My hair is straight naturally. I love my hair, but sometimes I want my hair to be curly for some special occasions. The thing that stresses me, or probably you, is that it takes me 30 mins to curl all my hair but the wave never last long. Especially when I was living in the UK, the wind just ruins my hard work as soon as I go outside. There are lots of hair products in the market for lasting waves, but I always wonder if there is any organic way to hold my curls. I was excited when I discover this recipe from my sister, and here you are!
In this recipe, I use geranium essential oil and neroli essential oil as they are known for promoting hair growth. You can add any essential oil of your choice to make your very own hair gel with your favourite aroma.
(This recipe will fill a pot of Kilner jar or Mason jar)
- 1-2 tea bag calendula tea
- 15 ml aloe vera gel
- 2 tsp xanthan gum
- 1/4 tsp vitamin B5
- 4-5 drops neroli essential oil
- 4-5 drops geranium essential oil
Brew the calendula tea bags in the Kilner jar/ Mason jar with warm water.
Add aloe vera and vitamin B5 to the mixture, stir gently. Then add essential oil.
Add xanthan gum and whisk the content until smooth.
